Good news: finally some new bags again on the blog! Some coloured designer bags to be precisely. Since January and February are not my favorite months, I decided to do something with colour. Maybe that will change my mood, hahaha. I’m always the first one to tell you that you always have to buy a designer bag in a neutral colour. Because I think that the love will last longer. A neutral colour is way more timeless and you don’t just get bored that easily. But I have to admit I’m slowly changing my mind, because I see so many pretty coloured designer bags lately. Especially Mulberry and JW Anderson are offering some cool bags in amazing colours. So, here are my favorite coloured designer bags for coming seasons:
Okay this bag is top of the bill and waaaaaay above budget, but I saw this one on Insta and I was hooked. As a Dutch girl I have to love this, since orange is our national colour, hahaha. Just kidding, this colour is super bright, and screams summer. The use of various materials makes it playful. The website doesn’t show us much info, only that it’s a calfskin crossbody with golden details. The price is € 3.650,- and in blue also. (Source picture: Chanel)
I kinda like the Malibu vibe. Sun, beach and cute pastels. Count me in! This bag is pink. Sweet as candy. But what girl doesn’t like pink in her closet? Exactly. JW Anderson offers a lot of bright coloured bags, but I like this one the most. It’s a leather crossbody with two ways of styling and has a hardware JWA logo on the front flap. It’s not that big, but big enough to put all your necessary stuff in it. This bag costs € 650,-. (Source picture: JW Anderson)
I’m totally into Mulberry lately. I almost like every new bag they introduce and they offer some pretty amazing colours. What to think of Raspberry pink or Arzure. This Minty Green is my favorite. It’s a calfskin satchel style bag with croco print and has a double front flap, a top handle and a removable strap. A cute addition, the twist ring lock closure with pearl. This Harlow Satchel costs € 1.250,- and is also available in other colours and without croco print. (Source picture: Mulberry)
The Puzzle bag became a real icon last years. I have to admit, I was not really a fan right away, but this bag grew on me. A big plus of this bag is the fact that you can wear it in five different ways. You can fold it as a clutch or just wear it as a shoulder bag, anything is possible. This is a very sunny version of the Puzzle with the colours yellow and mandarine. The bag is made from calfskin and costs € 1.900,-. (Source picture: Loewe)
I’m a fan of the Dutch brand Wandler, especially of the Hortensia bag. But there is a reason why I’m hesitating of purchasing this bag, and I really don’t know what that reason is, because it simply is a gorgeous bag. This purple unit has two top handles and has a beige coloured interior. This is de mini version of the Hortensia. You can also choose a medium of large version. The mini costs € 635,- and is also available in other colours. (Source picture: Wandler)
So I found a sh*tload of other beautiful coloured designer bags too, but the above bags are exceeding if you ask me. What I like about a coloured bag, is the fact that it really can give your outfit a boost. A bag can lift up the most boring outfit. And it’s a good item, although it scares the hell out of me, for using multiple colours in one outfit. Especially since bold and pastel coloured suits are very happening coming season. I really want to try to wear more colours, especially pastels, in one outfit.
I’m aware of the fact that these bags are not affordable for everyone, so I will write a blog post with some budget items very soon too.
